The term Pantocrator, ‘Almighty’, emphasises Christ's role as Judge and Lord of the universe. Christ is depicted frontally, with a solemn gaze and thin beard. His right hand is raised in the sign of blessing; in his left hand, he holds the Gospel, open. The richly decorated background features gilding and floral garlands. Item condition grading: **** good.The icon is in a good state of preservation with the normal wear and defects commensurate with its age and use over time.
