Biography
From 2009 to 2012, she studied graphic arts at the College of Fine Arts in Kazimierz Dolny. She then continued her studies in graphic arts at the Faculty of Arts at UMCS in Lublin. In 2014, she earned her master’s degree and a minor in painting. She was a recipient of the UMCS Rector’s Scholarship. Awards and honors: First place in a poster competition promoting the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology (2014), 3rd place in the 2nd National Art Competition for illustrations of Jeremi Przybora’s song lyrics for the work titled “Wesołe jest życie staruszka” (2012); honorable mentions in competitions, including: the 1st International Kashubian Visual Arts Competition CASSUBIA VISUALES, 2015; the 6th National Satirical Competition “Manufaktura Satyry,” Żyrardów 2015. Participation in numerous exhibitions: Grand Prix of Young Polish Graphic Art, Kraków 2015—post-competition exhibition; Academy of Fine Arts Gallery, Kraków 2015; International Post-Competition Exhibition – Satyrykon 2015, Copper Museum, Legnica 2015; 2nd International Art Competition – Contemporary Landscape, post-competition exhibition, Municipal Art Gallery, Częstochowa 2015; 4th “Fresh Blood” Young Art Review – post-competition exhibition, SOCATO Gallery, Wrocław 2014; 4th and 6th Painting Competition – Zadra 2011 and 2013 – post-competition exhibition, Zadra Gallery, Warsaw 2011 and 2013. In his paintings, he explores various themes concerning the human being and the social and cultural space in which he functions on a daily basis. He presents these themes metaphorically. By employing diverse arrangements of geometric forms, he strives to create the illusion of a three-dimensional, abstract space. Her works feature a diverse range of painting materials—a combination of glazed underpainting and charcoal sketches with a dense paint texture—and are characterized by a limited color palette.
