Biography
Ludwik Misky studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków from 1902 to 1910 in the studios of Florian Cynk, Leon Wyczółkowski, Józef Pankiewicz, Józef Mehoffer, and Jan Stanisławski. He continued his artistic studies at universities in Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin, and Vienna. He was a member of the Jednoróg Guild of Visual Artists in Kraków. He painted landscapes, decorative still lifes, portraits, and seascapes; he also designed kilims. In 1913, kilims based on his designs were exhibited at an exhibition of contemporary Polish art held by the Society of Friends of the Fine Arts in Lviv.
