Bruno Giacosa is an icon of Italian winemaking. A pioneer, a perfectionist and an ardent supporter of wines that are expressions of single sites.
He started working with wine at a young age, helping in his parents' vineyard. Before acquiring his own vineyard, he gained recognition for his talent working as a negociant. He has spent a lifetime among the vines, earning recognition for himself, his wines and the region as a whole. It is in large part thanks to him that Barolo and Barbaresco are today listed among the world's most important wines.
Today, the winery is run by his daughter Bruna along with oenologist Dante Scaglione. They work on just over 20 hectares. In addition to wines based on nebbiolo, the producer offers great incarnations of other local varietals.
