The factory was founded by merchant Terentiy Kuznetsov in 1832. The first six kilns were built in the village of Dulevo, near Moscow. Kuznetsov’s products were known for the exceptional whiteness of their porcelain. In 1891, the company acquired the Gardner factory in Verbilki (now the Dmitrov Porcelain Factory). In 1889, the company began operating under a new name: M.S. Kuznetsov Society for the Production of Porcelain and Ceramic Goods. The range of products offered was incredibly wide. Approximately 150 types of tea, coffee, and dinner sets were produced. There were 370 types of cups alone in production. In 1918, Kuznetsov’s factories were nationalized.
