Jerzy Przybył (born March 13, 1943 in Pomiany near Kepno) - Polish painter, graphic artist and sculptor, using the artistic pseudonym Jan Pol. He studied in 1962-1968 at the Katowice branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In Poland, he was associated with the district painting section in Katowice and the national painting section of ZPAP in Warsaw.
In 1981, he left Poland with his family and settled in Sweden, where he continues his artistic activities, belonging to the Svenska Konstnärsförbundet and regional creative associations, among others. Przybyl's work is inspired primarily by mythology - first Nordic and later Slavic - as well as folklore and the symbolism of ancient beliefs. He paints mainly on paper, using tempera, gouache, acrylic and oil; he also creates sculptures with fairy-tale and mythological representations.
