Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1993. He works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He cultivates figurative sculpture. He has many sculptural realizations in public spaces, including monumental sculptures permanently installed in public spaces in the USA, Czech Rep. and Poland. He has received numerous awards at the largest and most important international snow sculpture competitions: The Bronze Award in Harbin, China (2015); The Best Creativity Award in Harbin, China (twice: 2014 and 2016); The Fourth Prize in Sapporo, Japan (twice: 2015, 2017); Award of Nayoro City in Nayoro, Japan (2016) and The Audience Award in Krasnoyarsk, Russia (2017). He has repeatedly presented his works in the spaces of various cities at home and abroad, including Oxford (UK), Prague (Czech Rep.), St. Louise (USA), Bratislava (Slovakia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Wiener Neustadt (Austria), Gutersloh (Germany), Zlin (Rep. Czech Republic), Sapporo (Japan), Krasnoyarsk (Russia), Vallorie (France), Nayoro (Japan), Harbin (China), Klenova (Rep. Czech Republic), Oulu (Finland), as well as in Wroclaw, Katowice, Gdansk, Krakow, Gliwice, Zabrze, Bytom, Swietochlowice, Pabianice, Chelmek, Cieszyn, Zawiercie, Chrzanów, Sosnowiec, Siemianowice, Pacoltow, Górki Wielkie and others. The artist's recent solo exhibitions were presented in Vilnius (Lithuania), Seoul (Gallery La Mer, South Korea) and the Art Factory in Tczew. Recent group exhibitions include Art Revolution Taipei 2019 (Taiwan), 38th Korea Galleries Art Fair 2019 (Korea South), Art Jakarta 2018 (Indonesia), 13th Asia Contemporary Art Show (Hong Kong, China), Gwangju Internationa Art Fairs 2018 (Korea South.), Parallax Art Fairs (London, UK), 6th Daejeon Internationa Art Show (Korea), Loosen Art Gallery (Rome, Italy), Art Gyeongju 2018 (South Korea), 18th Insadong Art Fairs (Seoul, South Korea), Chan Liu Art Museum (Taipei, Taiwan), Art Revolution Art Fair 2018 (Taipei, Taiwan), 100 Beyond Sculpture (Seoul, South Korea). Currently, Koclęga's monumental outdoor sculptures are exhibited in the park of Moszna Castle. For several years, Koclęga's area of creative exploration has also included smaller bronze works, exhibited in many countries around the world.
