Russian painter, landscape painter. From 1885 to 1896 he studied in the landscape class at the Academy of Fine Arts, under Prof. M.K.Klodt. His mentors were also Ivan Shishkin and A. Kuindzhi, who had a great influence on the formation of Brewer's creative personality. For his paintings he received silver medals several times, the title of 2nd degree artist. In 1896 he won the title of "Artist" for his landscape painting "March in the Forest." The artist traveled extensively around the country, collecting materials for landscape paintings, which he later sold. He was particularly known for his work in the Bialowieza Forest, where he often painted wild bison. In 1911 he traveled to Siberia and painted Lake Baikal. His works are in the Tretyakov Gallery and many museums in Russia, as well as private collections.
