Egon Schiele (born June 12, 1890 in Tulln an der Donau, died October 31, 1918 in Vienna) - Austrian painter and printmaker. Author of expressive nudes, self-portraits and portraits, and landscapes. He was accused of spreading pornography. His oeuvre includes portraits, self-portraits, landscapes and nudes. In his work he developed an individual style, inspired by Art Nouveau characterized by twisted, deformed body shapes and expressive, angular lines. In his studies of the human body, he showed the most intimate details. For his nudes, he created his own technique of expression, mixed media, combining watercolor, pencil, crayons, charcoal and gouache in a single work on paper.
