Maurycy Gomulicki's work is concerned with the visual manifestations of pop-culture in its broadest sense. He is particularly interested in those elements which, when transferred to other cultural areas, acquire new meanings.
He has presented his works at numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Consultant and co-author of the project "ABCDF - visual dictionary of Mexico City" (2000-2002). The man largely responsible for the concept and image of the Sex Shop chain "Erotika" (Mexico 2005). He became known to a wider audience with his subversive, multidisciplinary project "Pink Not Dead!" (2006). He is the author of three photo albums "Fúnebre" (together with Jeronimo Hagerman, Editorial Diamantina, 2006), "W-wa" (Bęc Zmiana Foundation, 2007) and "Minimal Fetish" (LeTo, 2010). In many of his projects he engages in a dialogue with eroticism and pornography - it is worth mentioning the huge mural "Fertilty Pop" (2008), presented in Warsaw's Zachęta Gallery, or a series of collages under the common title "Pussy Mandala" (2009). His recent large-scale realizations include: "Eco Fever," Museo Experimental El Eco, México DF (2008); "Pink Bridge," San Diego Children's Museum (2008); "Pearl," DTP Wigry (2009); "Color Cube," Renoma, Wrocław (2010) and "Obelisk," BWA Arsenal, Poznań (2010). Since October 2009, his "Swiatlotrysk" has been dousing Kępa Potocka in Warsaw with neon pink. He is affiliated with LeTo gallery. He lives and works alternately in Poland and Mexico.
