Biography
Zdzislaw Cyankiewicz (Cyan) - studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In 1935 he became a lecturer of drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1937, concerned about the political situation, he left for Paris, where he established contacts with the environment of Ecole de Paris. During World War II, as a soldier in the French army, he was sent to a prisoner of war camp. In the 1950s he had his first successes at Paris exhibitions and made a final stylistic change in his work. At that time he created paintings - sculptures, collages, ceramics and wall paintings using electronic programming. He participated in exhibitions: Galerie Charpentier, retrospective exhibition (1961), Grand Palais (1975), Salon d'Automne (1976), Bilan de l'Art Contemporain (1979).
