Biography
Painter, creator of installations and spatial objects. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. He received his diploma in painting with honors under the supervision of Prof. Jerzy Kałucki. Winner of the City of Poznań Art Award (2007). Since May 2007, he has been a member of the Penerstwo art collective alongside Wojciech Bąkowski, Tomasz Mroz, Konrad Smoleński, Piotr Bosacki, Magdalena Starska, and Iza Tarasewicz. His artistic interests revolve around issues of belonging and identity, history, race, religion, tensions between the center and the periphery, and social marginalization. Through his art, he analyzes the image of the contemporary world as a space where diverse cultures and experiences intersect. Into the web of diverse, coexisting motifs in his works—drawn from literature, film, folk art, and American pop culture—the artist also weaves threads related to his personal experiences.
