Formerly considered to be an issue issued to commemorate the arrival of Jan Kazimierz to Gdansk. However; when delving into its meaningful symbolism; one should agree with the interpretation of contemporary researchers. After all; on the obverse we can see the personification of Consent; lifting the coats of arms of Poland and Gdansk tied together. On the reverse: the Eagle (symbol of the Kingdom of Poland) hovering above the city skyline and the accompanying sentence: Gdansk safe under the protection of God and the Eagle. Of Gdansk to the Republic of Poland. Medal with lots of nice natural shine in the background. No unusual defects or damage. Attractive for the type.
