Austrian military flintlock hussar carbine model 1798, made in the first quarter of the 19th century. Barrel of circular cross-section with brass sleeve at the muzzle and brass fittings. Lock plate with flint mechanism, signed with the initials "PP". Walnut wood stock with a simple military design, the lower part of the forend with a visible older repair. Rear of barrel with visible traces of removed corrosion. A standard example of the equipment of Austrian light cavalry units (hussars) from the period of the Napoleonic Wars.
