Arkadiusz Karapuda (Zyrardow 1981, lives in Warsaw) - studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2002-2007). He defended his diploma thesis with rector's distinction in the painting studio led by Prof. Marek Sapetto, and prepared the appendix to his diploma in the Studio of Techniques and Technologies of Wall Painting under the direction of assistant professor Edward Tarkowski (2007). He is currently working as a university professor at the Faculty of Painting of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (since 2017). Arkadiusz Karapuda is the author of more than twenty solo exhibitions and participant in more than a hundred group exhibitions, including in Poland, China, Germany, Bulgaria, Spain, Russia, the Czech Republic, but also in Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovenia and Italy. He is the recipient of numerous awards, prizes and scholarships, including the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2014), the Polish Culture Foundation Scholarship (2013), the Award of the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, at the 24th Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting in Szczecin (2012), the Entry Initiative Scholarship (2008), the Grand Prix of the 7. Pieńków International Painting Workshop (2007), Józef Szajna Award (2007), BPH Bank Awards (2007), Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Art (2005).
