Signed p.d.: ST.Kamocki
The work comes from a private collection.
Stanislaw Kamocki (1875-1944) was an artist primarily engaged in landscape painting. His landscapes most often depict villages in the vicinity of Krakow, the Tatra Mountains or Podhale. The artist's painting manner is, on the one hand, very close to traditional impressionism, in which the color patch, the lightness of the brush and the play with light together create a particularly subtle image. On the other hand, Kamocki strove to simplify the form - a popular artistic tendency at the time. Stanislaw Kamocki's works are primarily a combination of Polish motifs with the lightness of Impressionism and synthetic means of expression.
