Adam Marczukiewicz (b. 1958) studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts
Fine Arts in Cracow in the studio of Prof. Jan Świderski and Prof. Zbysław Maciejewski. He defended his diploma in the studio of Prof. Włodzimierz Kunz in 1986. The artist used the invaluable lessons of landscape painting and magic realism to create his own aesthetics.
" I treat art as a journey, a wandering of the imagination, collecting experiences and impressions. I prefer personal experiences in contact with reality, reflection, discovery, picking out and stopping what is phenomenal, wandering, drifting, rather than planning a journey and setting a destination.
I have never been interested in building some system of painting, homogeneity, forging a style by force like some monument to my own ego.
For me, art is a space that I explore, a world better than reality, a place where I feel good only when I am free, uncommitted, unencumbered by any theories, ways, views, just naked."
