A 1-grosz clip coin from 2005, part of the State Mint’s official commemorative issue “10 Years in Circulation,” prepared to mark the 10th anniversary of the introduction of new Polish coins following the zloty’s redenomination.
A rarer variant made of patinated copper, from a special issue limited to just 2,000 sets.
The obverse features the dates 1995–2005, referring to the year the new coins were introduced into circulation and the year of the clip’s issue.
The piece shown here has been graded MS 64 by NGC.
The low mintage of just 2,000 sets and the unique material used set this version apart from the standard coin set issue and make it an interesting collector’s item.
