RR-, Stefan Batory, Trojak 1585, Riga, CIVIT, hybrid, very rare, R3

Extremely rare and interesting trojak. The obverse is stamped with a stamp typical of the 1584/5 issue, the reverse is stamped with a stamp prepared extremely carelessly - numerous corrections of letters, letters placed at different heights, a ball was placed in the coat of arms of Riga instead of the head of St. John, keys with a cross "cut by hand", unusual abbreviation "CIVIT". The difference in the quality of execution of the obverse and reverse stamps suggest that we are dealing with a hybrid of the obverse stamp made by an experienced engraver in 1584 and the reverse made, by a newly hired, untrained engraver. A great rarity!
