Type II bust (Ciura).
The Ślepowron coat of arms (of Jan Kazimierz Krasiński—Grand Treasurer of the Crown) is divided by a circumferential inscription on the obverse.
On the reverse, on either side of the shield bearing the Snopek coat of arms (the coat of arms of the Vasa family), are the letters G B – A (the initials of Giovanni Battista Ammureti—the leaseholder of the Lviv mint).
Variant with profiled coat-of-arms shields.
An oval-shaped cartouche bearing the Vasa coat of arms.
A variant with the king’s title “IOAN CASI … POL & SVE” in the rim on the obverse and “… ARGEN SEX REG POL …” in the rim on the reverse.
Condition: 1-/2+
Minor imperfections in the metal and strike, but for this type, a beautifully struck and well-preserved coin. Three-dimensional relief. Beautiful detail. Intense luster and mint mirror finish. In this condition, the coin is rare and hard to find on the collector’s market. A beautiful piece for discerning collectors.
