Sigismund I the Old, Groschen, 1545, Kraków
A variant featuring the Odrowąż coat of arms between rosettes on the obverse.
A closed crown with a three-segmented rim decorated with pearls (Romańczyk type 8A). The space within the rim is filled.
An eagle with a slender torso and wings and a long, curved neck (Romańczyk type 6). The tail is narrow.
Condition: 2/2+
Minor flaws in the disk and striking, but a beautifully preserved coin. Good detail. Luster and mint mirror finish. A beautiful piece.
