Biography
From 1905 to 1909, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under J. Mehoffer. He spent the years 1909–1913 in Paris, where he copied paintings by the old masters from the Louvre’s collection. From 1927 to 1933, he taught painting and composition at the Institute of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He was a co-founder and president of the “Rytm” group and was also a member of the TAP “Sztuka” association. He worked in monumental and easel painting as well as lithography. In his paintings, he combined a tendency toward Cubist-style geometrization with elements of Classicism.
