Biography
He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under the guidance of W. Jarocki, W. Weiss, and F. S. Kowarski. He was also a student at the Free School of Painting in Kraków. He then continued his artistic education at the Paris branch of the Academy of Fine Arts under J. Pankiewicz. He was a member of the Zwornik group. After the war, he was appointed professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where he later served as rector. He exhibited his works on numerous occasions both in Poland and abroad, including at the Salon d’Automne in Paris. Rzepiński’s work is considered among the finest examples of Polish colorism.
