More information about the artist is available on the CONNAISSEUR Art Salon website.
The work was reproduced using the lithography technique in the album “For Zagreb,” published in early 1881 on the initiative of the Kraków art community. This initiative was aimed at supporting the residents of Croatia’s capital following the devastating earthquake of November 1880. At that time, prominent Polish artists submitted their works to be reproduced at Aureliusz Pruszyński’s renowned Artistic Lithography Workshop in Kraków, and all proceeds from the sale of this patriotic and philanthropic edition were allocated to the reconstruction of the devastated city.
