Zygmunt Wierciak (Kraków 1881 – 1950 Kraków) - graduated in 1900 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków - studied in J. Unierzyski’s studio, then at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna. He made his debut as a painter in 1902 by exhibiting at the Kraków Society of Friends of the Fine Arts. In 1931, he participated in the Autumn Salon at the Grand Palais in Paris, which focused on theatrical design. In 1939, he took part in the Exhibition of Contemporary Religious Art in Kraków, organized by the Brother Albert Section of Religious Artists and Visual Artists. His works are held, among other places, at the University Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. He painted landscapes, portraits, genre scenes from Kraków and the surrounding area, and battle scenes, often from the Napoleonic Wars.
Cécile Sorel, born Cécile Emilie Seurre (Paris, 1873 – 1966, Trouville-sur-Mer) – French actress. She performed at the Comédie-Française beginning in 1903. She was the wife of Guillaume de Sax, Count de Ségur. Toward the end of her life, she entered a convent. She was buried at the Montparnasse Cemetery in Paris.
