Painter and stage designer. He attended the State School of Artistic Industry and Decorative Arts in Lviv from 1923 to 1926. In 1928 he began working in Lviv city theaters as a decorative painter, learning the art of stage design under the direction of the active Andrzej Pronaszko, Władysław Daszewski and Otto Axer . In addition to his work in theaters, he practiced easel painting, which he first exhibited at TPSP in Lviv in 1933. he belonged to the "Ster" art group, which was formed in 1934. In 1945 he left his hometown and stayed initially in Piotrkowice and later permanently in Tarnów. Here he worked as a painter and stage designer at the Tarnów theater. In addition to stage design, he practiced oil painting, at first painting dense, synthesized landscapes, then after 1956 he began astonishing formal experiments on the verge of abstraction and collage.
