This is the third Earth week of our stay on Theta Centauri in the Scorpion Cloud. It has not brought any breakthrough in the search for life. All the samples showed the futility of our search. When our sampler lowered itself onto this planet we succumbed to the illusion of seeing a lot of green color along with "rivers" (that's what we called them at the time) flowing in places. The green areas turned out to be mere snow on the local "rocks." The alleged "rivers" turned out to be a strange magma that could probably be walked on. Out of caution, we did not even try to stand on this thing. The magma was "flowing" out of large spheres, but in fact, these apparent "streams" were rigidly attached to the spheres. Before departing, we took some photos for the report and left our research probe at the edge of the "river." We hope never to return here again. Aha - the "blue clouds" above us are a mere optical illusion... Oliver
