Lukasz Towpik (born 1984), XII.XXII, 2022

In 2010 he defended his Master of Fine Arts degree at the Faculty of Painting of the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Zielona Gora. In search of his expression, in the first stage inspired by 19th century painting, he creates Orientalist themes and genre scenes of the Polish countryside. Between 2013 and 2016, he moved away from easel painting to begin his individual path in 2017. He currently creates paintings depicting human figures in a de-realistic world, showing erotic behavior and tendencies combining instinct with mysticism and spirituality. He refers to his works by the term Progressive Realism.
