Mieczysław Serwin-Oracki (Bochnia 1912 – 1978 Katowice) received his artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where he graduated in 1937. He studied under Fryderyk Pautsch, among others. In 1938, he participated in the opening of the Salon at the Zachęta in Warsaw, where he won a bronze medal for a painting titled “The Sleeping Woman.” In 1939, he participated in a group exhibition at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Kraków. He painted primarily landscapes and still lifes.
