Biography
She graduated in 1996, defending her diploma in the painting studio led by Prof. Włodzimierz Kunz at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. On a daily basis, she lives and works in Cracow as a graphic designer. In her work she is inspired by the works of Dutch and German masters, such as Rogier van der Weyden, Jan van Eyck, Petrus Christus, Robert Campin and Lucas Cranach.
Line plays a key role in her paintings, with which she builds up the texture of fabrics, captures the texture of skin, hair and backgrounds. The precise and time-consuming filling of the painting's surface with lines brings her, as she herself emphasizes, inner tranquility, has a therapeutic effect and helps her regain balance and harmony.
