Piotr Młodożeniec - Studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1976 to 1981, receiving his diploma in the poster studio of Prof. Henryk Tomaszewski. Since the 1980s, he has been working in parallel with painting and graphic design, often combining them. In the 1980s, he co-created the phenomenon of New Expression in painting, while also being a participant in the independent culture movement, contesting official artistic life under martial law. He participated in the exhibitions of this trend, but above all he is the author of widely known occasional graphics, widely distributed at the time through underground channels: Christmas cards, posters, flyers, illustrations, signs, calendars, etc. He made them in screen printing technique, using the first graphic computer programs. The result was distinctive lettering, a simplified and flat human silhouette and a thick raster. This aesthetic permeated the paintings, which the artist enriched with collage elements, spray painting, as in graffiti, neon signs, etc. These features have survived in his art until the present years, only undergoing further synthesization, which makes some of Mlodożeniec's newer paintings approach allusive abstraction in expression. The artist exhibited at many private, church and independent exhibitions of the decade of the 1980s, such as "Testimony of Presence", Warsaw 1982, the 1st National Exhibition of Young Painting "The Way and the Truth", Wroclaw 1985, "What's Up", Warsaw 1987 and others. In the 1990s he presented his works several times together with his father Jan and brother Stanislaw, a painter from New York. Since 1992, Młodożeniec has worked with Marek Sobczyk in a graphic design partnership called "zafryki". They design posters, billboards and collaborate as illustrators with magazines, such as "Gazeta Wyborcza." Individually, Mlodożeniec has won numerous awards, including . Best Poster of Warsaw 1982, Grand Prix of the Chaumont Poster Festival 1993, silver medal at the 1998 International Poster Biennale in Warsaw.
