Robert MACIEJUK
b. 1965 Biała Podlaska
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, under the direction of Prof. S. Gierowski and Prof. R. Winiarski. Currently an assistant to Professor J. Lis at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. His first individual exhibition was held at Dziekanka Gallery in 1988. R. Maciejuk has participated in many group exhibitions including Kunst, Europa and Un-Vollkomen. In 1994, he presented his works at Foksal Gallery. The main feature of the artist's work is, above all, the accuracy of execution, and each of his paintings is "finished." His paintings are judged as "true painting," meaning: "classical technique, professional execution, and numerous references to tradition." The author uses the technique of central perspective in his works. However, this is not the only technique he uses. He also paints flat, geometric signs or paintings that are quite monochromatic. He also draws in symbols, architectural figures, lines and colors to create the perfect painting.
