Biography
Born in 1934, Zanotti is counted among the leading representatives of European geometric abstraction and kinetic art of the second half of the 20th century. He was an artist of Italian origin active in France. He began his artistic career in 1954 and for more than 15 years was represented by the prestigious Denise René gallery, where he exhibited his works, being part of the circle centered around the most important artists of the 20th century avant-garde. He collaborated with other artists such as Victor Vasarely and Jean Arp. He became famous for his painting compositions combining geometric forms with op-art elements. He often used movement and optical illusions in his work. He studied how color and lines affect the perception of space.
