Biography
He received a solid education at Kraków's universities: at the private School of Fine Arts (1931-1932) under A. Terlecki, the State School of Decorative Arts and Art Industry (1932-1935), the Craftsmen's Vocational School (1935-1939), the Academy of Fine Arts (1938-1939), the Kunstgewerbeschule (1941-1943) and again at the Academy of Fine Arts (1945-1947), where he received his diploma under J. Fedkowicz. His oeuvre included easel, monumental secular and religious paintings, drawing, printmaking. At first he painted realistic paintings, then in the spirit of social realism and finally in his own individual style expressed in texture, synthesis of figures and objects, abstraction, including geometric, sometimes cubism. In the 1960s, he also began to use various other materials, waste, etc. approaching Hasior's work.
