Ciecierski's paintings have a patchwork structure and are a painterly visualization of the artist's philosophy of looking. The lack of a single point of view, the multiplicity of frames, the multitude of overlapping representations are associated with a vision broken into atoms,
is a consequence of inner looking, extracting from the artist's memory memories of places and emotions associated with them. Ciecierski's landscapes, absorbed from reality during his numerous travels, are mental landscapes, painterly
maps saturated with feeling. They are always created in the studio, the artist does not paint outdoors. When proceeding to paint, he activates his memory, where memories sublimated into colorful impressions accumulate. From the kaleidoscope of colors deposited on the
the grid of memory, colors sometimes bring out a clear dominant, as in the case of paintings painted after a 1999 stay in Tuscany, in which variations on the theme of pink and purple predominate. Thanks to the filter of memory and painterly intuition, the landscapes of
Ciecierski's landscapes become an intellectual motif, an independent and distinct artistic entity.

Artist painter, draughtsman, photographer. Studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Prof. Krystyna Lada-Studnicka (graduated in 1971). From 1972 to 1985 he was a teaching fellow at his alma mater. In 1999, he won the prestigious Jan Cybis Award (awarded by the Warsaw District of ZPAP) for lifetime achievement. His achievements and creative thought have always focused on the essence of painting itself - the process of thinking about it, the workshop. His early paintings often referred to the art of the old masters, but from the 1990s he abandoned figurativism in favor of synthetic, almost abstract landscapes. He also began to experiment with form by going beyond the rigid framework of the painting. He created complex compositions consisting of several, a dozen or even dozens of smaller canvases overlapping each other. In this way he created a peculiar collage consisting of painting "postcards" from places the artist had the opportunity to visit. At first glance, Ciecierski's works appear chaotic and disorderly. However, upon longer viewing, the viewer can perceive his compositional mastery, where each element is carefully thought out and harmonizes with the others. Ciecierski is the author of dozens of solo exhibitions and a number of group exhibitions at home and abroad. His work has been presented at Foksal Gallery (Warsaw); Zachęta National Gallery of Art (Warsaw); Arsenal City Gallery (Poznan); Bunkier Sztuki (Krakow); National Museum in Poznan; Ego Gallery (Poznan); Jan Tarasin Art Gallery (Kalisz), among others.
