Witold Rzegociński (1883-1969), Boats in the bay
Mixed technique (watercolor, pencil, crayon) and printmaking on paper, 30 x40 cm.
The work consists of two sheets of paper, glued together at two corners. On the first thinner sheet are depicted the benches in a mixed technique. Signed in the lower left corner as "Rzegociński W.", with pencil inscriptions on the left. On the reverse of the same sheet of paper pen sketches and inscriptions (it seems that the drawing was secondarily used as a blotter, as suggested by the annotations visible on it).
This sheet is adhered to a second white sheet of paper with a 1985 graphic depicting Jesus tied to a tree, as evidenced by the signature and date in the lower left corner "W. 1985".
Condition: good (Work with "boats in the bay" - on edges of paper losses in p.d. and pin holes, Graphic with Jesus - light soiling l.d.)
