Włodzimierz KUNZ (1926-2002)
The painter received his artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he studied under Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa from 1948 to 1954. He worked at the academy for the next few years, receiving the title of professor in 1986, while in 1993 he was appointed rector of the academy. Kunz developed his own recognizable style, often using geometric structures and collage technique. Kunz's oeuvre, encompassing both painting, printmaking and sacred wall painting, is exhibited in numerous museums at home and abroad in Washington, New York, Tokyo, Havana, Hamburg and Darmstadt.
