Wojciech MALICKI
Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Jan Długosz Academy in Częstochowa. He lives in Zawiercie. He belongs to the young generation of artists who are able to combine the universal message of art with a subtle confession of "where my lineage comes from". For years he has been working conceptually on a series of paintings under the title , "OKNO". He consistently uses old window frames, coming from demolished or renovated old tenement houses in Zawiercie, to paint into them, as it were, a deep reflection on man, his dilemmas, his dreams and failures, often inspired by traditional iconographic motifs.
