Zbigniew Lengren illustrated numerous literary texts - the work on display was created as an illustration of the fairy tale "Literki uciekinierki" by Wladyslaw Mossoczy. The fairy tale was to be published by the Cracow bookseller Florian Trzeciecki in 1946 - however, the publication did not take place.
