Biography
Leszek Dutka was born in Jaworzno in 1921 (Chrzanów County, Kraków Province). From 1945 to 1955, he studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in the studios of: painting under Prof. Hanna Rudzka – Cybis, in Prof. Zbigniew Pronaszka’s drawing studio, and in Prof. Wacław Taranczewski’s mural painting studio. At the same time, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Kraków University of Technology, where in 1952 he earned a master’s degree in technical sciences and a degree in architectural and urban engineering under Prof. Włodzimierz Gruszczyński.
In 1956, he became a member of the Kraków District of the Association of Polish Visual Artists.
In 1960, he began working professionally as a ceramicist. He created decorative ceramics and ceramic sculptures, participated in numerous national and international ceramics exhibitions, and organized solo exhibitions.
