Xawery Dunikowski's works include sculptures depicting heads. This can be seen in archival photos showing the artist himself (il.1), or from an exhibition of his works (il.2). The monument "Adam Mickiewicz"( ca.1899-1906) (il.3) is a linden wood carved image of a literary man made in the early years of Xawery Dunikowski's work. Probably in this period was made, the presented "Head" and "Portrait of Henryk Szczyglinski" from about 1898 (Il.4)
