Mr. Gerald Charles Genta - the Salvador Dali of watchmaking
Timepieces designed by Gerald Charles Gente were worn by the world's most influential people and among them were many crowned heads such as King Hassan II of Morocco, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain, King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, Queen Elizabeth II of England and Prince Rainier II of Monaco. The designer did not have time to make the "Gerald Charles" company, which opened in 2011, famous, as he passed away on August 17, 2011. With his talent and diligent work, Gerald Charles Genta has repeatedly made his mark on the history of watchmaking. The Swiss was one of the most prominent designers of timepieces in the world.
When 1969 came, the designer decided to open his own manufactory. Watches signed with the name of Genta were characterized by high quality and innovation. The most famous models are the "Octo Granda Sonnerie Tourbillion", valued at $810,200, and the "Grande Sonnerie Retro", constructed in 1994, which is estimated at $2 million .
