Wine takes us on a journey to the Montsant region, a neighbor of the famous Priorat. Once in the shadow of its neighbor, today Montsant has its own personality and exceptionally interesting wines to offer - thanks in part to producers like Acustic.
It's an initiative based on working with old vines and following traditional winemaking techniques. The producer owns some 40 hectares planted with local grape varieties. Grenache is the dominant one, and alongside it you will also find peluda, pensal, carignena and macabeu. After being harvested by hand, the fruit goes to the winery, where the use of technology (including electricity!) is kept to a minimum.
Auditori 2017 is 100% garnacha grown on poor, stone and shale soils. Gentle winemaking for refinement and lightness, followed by months of sleep in large oak barrels. Upon awakening, the wine is beautifully aromatic, full of fruit, with spice, herb and mineral notes hiding behind it. A wine close to the optimal drinking window.
