Wine takes us on a journey to the Montsant region, a neighbor of the famous Priorat. Once in the shadow of its neighbor, today Montsant has its own personality and exceptionally interesting wines to offer - thanks in part to producers like Acustic.
It's an initiative based on working with old vines and following traditional winemaking techniques. The producer owns some 40 hectares planted with local grape varieties. Grenache is the dominant one, and alongside it you will also find peluda, pensal, carignena and macabeu. After being harvested by hand, the fruit goes to the winery, where the use of technology (including electricity!) is kept to a minimum.
2018 can't quite be considered a cool vintage, but conditions were not as extreme as the previous year. The maturation period was longer, and it was easier to capture the balance between the ripeness of aromas and acidity.
Auditori 2018 smells like cassis and berries from the first moment, then like flowers, which are finally joined by the minerality characteristic of the terroir. Full body, good energy, long finish, during which we discover everything the wine has to offer.
